Portable Vs. Desktop Vapes: What you Need to Know
Desktop Vs. Portable
Desktop or Portable might be one of life’s toughest question and when faced with the choice, you need to be ready. Different vaporizers suit different lifestyles and the first step in choosing either desktop or portable is knowing exactly what you want from your device. The biggest and most obvious difference between the two vapes is size and whilst desktop is perfect for chilling at home you can’t exactly pack it up to use on the go.
Whilst this may make your decision seem like an easy one, things can get a little bit more difficult if you’re on a tight budget, if you want to vape outside but vapor quality is a must, or if you usually vape at home but want the portable option. Well fear no more as we are going to tell you everything you need to know about Portable Vs. Desktop, hopefully making your decision a little easier.
Choosing a Portable Vaporizer
Portable devices are treasured for a number of reasons, they can have great flavor and good battery life, but the main argument for getting one, is well, because they’re portable. Portable vaporizers are a lot smaller than their chunky counterparts meaning they can easily fit into your backpack, pocket, or purse to be used discreetly whilst on the go. They can be used with products such as dried products, liquid concentrates, and resins, meaning you’re in no way limited. Most vaping devices are easy to use, as well as being easier to control when compared to desktop.
The only reason and somewhat downside for this is that they lack some sophisticated features such as balloons, whips, and water pipe extensions. Portables run on a rechargeable battery and depending on size can usually last a couple of hours or a good few sessions. As briefly mentioned above another big reason for their popularity is the fact that they are discreet. Coming in a range of small and sleek designs that can look like pens or even cigarettes. Although portable vapes come in a wide range of prices they usually tend to be cheaper than desktop units, so if you’re on a budget they could be your best option.
Choosing a Desktop Unit
Desktop vaporizers are known for their size, they tend to be complex machines and are designed to use, chilling in the comfort of your own home. These devices come with state of the art features that make up for their so-called lack of mobility and they tend to be features that you just don’t get with a run of the mill portable vape. Desktop units need to constantly be plugged into a power source whilst being used and although some users may see this as a downfall it does also have its advantages.
The strong and stable source of power constantly pumping through the vape device usually makes for stronger, better, bigger vapor and more powerful hits. They also generally have a larger chamber so if they do happen to run off battery they will last much longer than a portable and require less refill and recharges. Making them the ideal candidate for longer sessions with multiple people.
Due to the feature variety of these units and the quality of vapor (which is second to none) they usually come in more much more expensive than a portable device. However, if the cash and lack of mobility isn’t an option we recommend splashing out on a desktop. It will be a lifelong investment you won’t regret.
